I am a private pay therapist which means I do not accept insurance. There are a multitude of reasons I'm no longer in network with insurance companies, please see below for ones that directly impact you.

Why Choose a Private Pay Therapist?

Freedom to Choose the Right Fit
You’re able to work with the therapist who feels right for you or has specific training for your needs, rather than choosing from a limited insurance network.

More Privacy & No Diagnosis Required
Your personal information stays between you and I, without requiring details to be shared with insurance companies. Insurance companies require therapists to diagnose clients and that diagnosis becomes a part of your medical record. This record can influence future insurance premiums, applications for life insurance, and may be accessible by some employers.

Flexible, Personalized Care
Therapy is guided by your goals, not insurance limits. You and I decide the pace, frequency, and focus of our work together. And you are free to seek support for stress, relationships, life transitions, or personal growth, issues not covered by insurance.

Out-of-Network Benefits
You may be eligible for partial reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network coverage. I am happy to provide a super bill for this purpose. Please note that a diagnosis is required for all super bills.
